John Palumbo is the leader and
songwriter of the cult band CRACK THE
SKY. This is a preview from his
forthcoming Lifesong album TRUTH. . . A
LETTER HOME brings our courageous
soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan nearer
to us. Produced by Rob Stevens, whose
record credits include The Red Hot Chili
Peppers, John Lennon (the posthumous
ANTHOLOGY, a Rolling Stone Magazine
boxed set of the year), Toshi Regan,
Bill Laswell, and Yoko Ono (two recent
#1 Billboard titles), and Rob has also
produced live sessions with Ani DiFranco,
Better Than Ezra, Sarah McLachlan, and
Jewel, among others.
Rob adds: "John has brilliant
insights, and conveys them with power
and style. Considering the material I've
worked on, my standards for songwriting
are pretty high, and John leaps over
them without breaking a sweat. This
record is strong stuff about the
troubling world we have to face up to
today."
