"A
whole butt-load of blessings (which I
may call my gospel project) have been heaped upon
li'l ol' unworthy me: a bunch of
super-duper musicians, most of whom
worked for peanuts (some salted, some
jewel-encrusted); Phil Kurnit, one of
my most ardent - if not most
attractive - cheerleaders, who let me do pretty
much whatever I wanted; Steve Goodie,
who helped me to see what it was I
wanted; my oldest buddy Wied, who has
for so many years been a source of
ego-boosting encouragement; and
finally, to my beautiful daughters
Rachel and
Liana, who don't know how much I miss
them, and who inspire me to the success I pray will reunite us."
